Modes of transportation
* Walking Tour
Because Amsterdam is a relatively compact town a lot is within walking distance. So we can do a tour in a pace that suits you. If you hotel or residence is in or near the old town, I could pick you up for a short or longer walk through the history of Amsterdam.
*Bicycle Tour
The way to see Amsterdam is of course by bike. Most local Amsterdammers use a bike for practically anything; commuting to work, bringing the kids to school, for shopping or for going out night. A bike tour also has the advantage of covering longer distances. Do as the locals do and join me on a private bike tour.
*Boat Tour
Amsterdam is also very beautiful seen from the water. There are many variations of boat tours available in Amsterdam. The way I prefer to tour the canals and waterways of Amsterdam is a little electrical boat, in Dutch known as “fluisterbootjes”, whisperboats. Environmentally friendly and quiet I think the little boats are a perfect way for a private tour on the water.
*Streetcar Tour
Travel the way the locals do. The local streetcar-system is not a tourist attraction. It’s the spine of the Amsterdam public transit system. That doesn’t mean you have to be a commuter to use them. As a tourist the streetcars enable you to travel safely over longer distances, also off the beaten track, outside of the old town. I would love to show you were to go.
